This year is our inaugural year for Thicket and Quill; Everblue's New Works Initiative. Each year we will invite artists to submit their new works: Musicals, Plays, Song Cycles and more to be workshopped here at Everblue. 

This year, we are pleased to have award winning writers Christian Douglas and Jason Forbach with us for their new musical theatre show Home Room.

Home Room, an original musical, is inspired by modern musical song cycles such as Songs for a New World, confessional-style narratives similar to A Chorus Line, and the youthful, bombastic energy of 13, but with a fresh voice all its own. 

Home Room takes place in a modern day high school classroom and features a diverse class of teenagers, each expressing their individual, innermost, desires, insecurities, fears and truths through song.
